Barnet Football Club’s new stadium, The Hive, has rolled out new POS technology from specialist manufacturer of PC-based touchscreens and point-of-sale hardware, J2 Retail Systems and its EPoS solutions partner EPOSability. Barnet FC’s owner and chairman Anthony Kleanthous said:
When we designed our move to The Hive in 2013 after more than 100 years at the Underhill Stadium, we set out to partner with companies whom we felt were at the top of their game, in order to ensure we had a good and comprehensive solution.
EPOSability were initially called upon to implement wired and wireless telecommunications across the ground. Robbie Francis, the company’s managing director, said:
Once this infrastructure was in place, our relationship with Barnet FC was cemented. Barnet understand we provide best-of-breed technology so gave us the opportunity to put updated POS hardware into the new site. Barnet’s move from HP to J2 was motivated by factors such as aesthetics, space-saving and cost of ownership. J2’s all-in-one till management solution is flexible and appealed to club management.
