The Royal Belgian Football Association and the Jupiler Pro League have signed up as members of ESSMA.
All Belgian first league clubs and the national stadium can now be members of the association. In addition, ESSMA will move its headquarters to Brussels. “We are delighted in joining ESSMA as the leading European organisation in practical stadium management. As UEFA sets the standards of stadiums, ESSMA is involved in the practical operation in this field by ensuring joint workshops or seminars based on best practices,” said Steven Martens, Secretary General of the Belgian FA.
“The Belgian FA and Jupiler Pro League can rely on ESSMA to benchmark their stadiums and have support on national workshops on stadium, safety and pitch management,” said ESSMA President John Beattie.
Ludwig Sneyers, CEO of the Jupiler Pro League, commented:
The international network of stadiums within ESSMA will benefit the clubs of the Pro League in order to have best practices and foreign examples that might be used in Belgium. We are keen to join the association.
