Cobb County’s planning commission has approved the Atlanta Braves’ stadium and associated development. The plans put a team stadium at the heart of an entire entertainment, retail and residential village. It’s a first of a kind extended home for a team, fans and community.
Braves officials gave the planning commission a more detailed look at their planned stadium and mixed use complex, providing new renderings and insight on what the 80-acre project will look like. Braves’ attorney James Ballie said:
“Their employees, their staff, their executives are going to live there for 30 years. They guarantee the stadium is something Cobb County is going to be proud of.”
