The European Stadium & Safety Management Association (ESSMA) will hold a sustainable stadium workshop in London in June.
The Smart & Sustainable Stadium Workshop has been organised in cooperation with BASIS (British Association for Sustainable Sport) and will take place from 7 to 8 June 2017, at Arsenal’s Emirates Stadium and Twickenham Stadium.
The goal of the workshop is for participants to share valuable content, organise discussions on future (smart) stadiums, seek peer to peer solutions and network.
The workshop sessions will cover energy efficiency, waste management, fan & sponsor management, innovative ticketing and hospitality in smart stadiums.
Speakers will be on hand from Arsenal FC, Millennium Stadium Cardiff, Twickenham Stadium, Amsterdam ArenA, BASIS and ESSMA among others.
Representatives of ESSMA member Leagues, Federations, Clubs, Stadiums & ESSMA Stadium Partners, ESSMA Strategic Partners and BASIS members
ESSMA President John Beattie said:
Sustainability bears an important role in the future of our stadiums. It’s something we can’t overlook today and actively need to work on. Sustainability needs to be a core business objective, tailored to all stakeholders. Through our partnership with BASIS we are sure to improve our know-how in this field and feel confident to be of service for our members who will surely benefit from it.
Jürgen Muth, CEO of Allianz Arena, added:
The ESSMA community and events enable me to get in touch with colleagues, both in Europe and abroad. ESSMA, as a knowledge platform, gathers and share the relevant content towards the members, improving the overall knowledge on stadium management.
