A ground-breaking campaign will lift the lid on UEFA EURO 2016 in a unique behind-the-scenes look at how a major tournament is put together.
In a collaboration between specialist digital media and talent platform GlobalSportsJobs and European football’s governing body UEFA, professionals wanting to work on some of the world’s biggest sporting events can now get an insight into the numerous roles needed to stage an event like UEFA EURO 2016.
Entitled UEFA People, the new digital campaign will offer a range of online content direct from EURO, including personalised “day in the life” and “my role” features, inspirational videos and infographics, and never-before-seen footage, articles and statistics based around the people working at the tournament and at UEFA.
A dedicated GlobalSportsJobs microsite will provide the opportunity for professionals to explore the multiple roles and skills required to put on a major event and understand the importance of transferable skills across different industries and sectors.

It will allow professionals interested in developing a career in sport to understand and see how a major tournament works, and how to be part of it. We are certain that this campaign will open the eyes of those looking to combine their qualifications and experience with their interest in sport, and will see why UEFA is seen as a leading organisation to deliver this.
The microsite, which is fully mobile-enabled, began providing fresh content daily from Tuesday 24 May and will continue to do so throughout UEFA EURO 2016. GlobalSportsJobs will be running competitions to win a range of prizes, including PS4s, Sony Boomboxes and an ‘on-the-job’ experience at the EURO tournament. The first competition runs for three days from Thursday 26 May.
The aim is to generate interest in working at major events, with UEFA already planning for EURO 2020.
