Hampshire Cricket have secured a duo of sponsorship renewal partnerships this week, one with Southampton-based law firm, Paris Smith and the other with Marston’s Beer Company.
Over recent years Paris Smith (one of the dominant regional law firms in Central Southern England) and the Club have worked closely together on a number of projects including the Ageas Bowl’s major development programme, which includes the 175-bed four-star Hilton hotel, two new covered stands as well as the new 18-hole golf course. Paris Smith have also played an important role in helping Hampshire Cricket to secure planning permission to hold concerts at the venue.
Paris Smith will continue in its role as the Official Legal Partner of Hampshire Cricket & the Ageas Bowl.
Hampshire Cricket Chief Executive, David Mann said:
We have been delighted with the service Paris Smith have provided over a long period of time and I am very happy that it’s been agreed to continue this partnership. Their help has been crucial to a number of developments at the Ageas Bowl, and they have played a big part in creating the fantastic venue we see today.
Paris Smith’s Managing Partner, Peter Taylor, said:
Paris Smith have enjoyed a long standing relationship with Hampshire Cricket spanning many decades. We are delighted to have helped the Club to achieve its success and, in particular, it’s undoubted ability to host international cricket. 2015 will be an exciting year for Hampshire Cricket and the Ageas Bowl both on and off the field and we are proud to continue our relationship.
Hampshire Cricket also announced the renewal of their sponsorship deal with Marston’s Beer Company and Marston’s Pedigree, the Official Beer of English Cricket, will also retain its status as the Official Beer of the Ageas Bowl.

The on-going partnership was toasted with a visit to Marston’s local brewery at Ringwood from Hampshire all-rounder Sean Ervine, who was given a special guided tour by Head Brewer Jeff Drew. After the visit, Ervine spoke highly of the Brewery: “It’s been a fantastic afternoon, getting the unique opportunity of a special tour of the brewery and it’s great to see that Marston’s Pedigree and Hampshire Cricket have extended their partnership.”
The Ageas Bowl Commercial Director, Stuart Robertson, said:
We are delighted to be able to enhance this sponsorship deal and celebrate our excellent relationship by extending the partnership by a further three years with a beer that has become synonymous with English cricket, Marston’s Pedigree. Ringwood beers have been a local favourite for many years now and we are pleased that they too will continue to remain available to fans at the Ageas Bowl.
Marston’s Regional Sales Manager, Simon Marchesi, said:
