Hybrids are the future says new Slick Seating manager

Sherif Harding has joined GL events Slick Seating as Stadia Development Manager, a new role. A chartered surveyor, Harding joins the firm having project managed the installation of 50,000 seats for the Olympic and Paralympic Games on behalf of the GL events Consortium.

“In the wake of the Olympics, future stadium schemes will have one eye on sustainability and value-for-money, which is why the hybrid design and construction methods used in Slick Seating’s products will become ever-more in demand,” said Harding.

Harding previously worked for Deloitte Real Estate’s sports and leisure team, where he oversaw the planning, design and construction of numerous sports stadia and training facilities across the country and was part of the project team responsible for the design and delivery of the Olympic Canoe Slalom Course at Lee Valley in Hertfordshire.

Slick Seating has built new stands for clients including Barnet and Blackpool football clubs and Harlequins and Gloucester rugby clubs. Harding is joined at the firm by its news sales director, Stephen Shaw.
