A host of big names, including representatives of Lima 2019, World Rugby, West Ham and many others will be heading to the Major Events Summit 2017 in London.

The Major Events International (MEI) run event will take place in Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem, Plexal, in the home of the former Olympic Press & Broadcast Centre for the London 2012 Olympics on the 12th & 13th July 2017.

With VIPs and companies playing a leading role, the event starts on the evening of July 11 for an informal drinks reception before two full days of content with the Awards Dinner open to all at the end of the first day on July 12 providing both recognition of Member achievements but also a relaxed format in the BT Sports TV Studios.
The programme will include: Enhancing Fan Engagement; Technology in Venues and Fan Parks; Overlay & Events Services; Safety & Security to include safety of crowded places.
MEI are encouraging attendees to demonstrate their capabilities in a “non-Expo format” by deploying them during the Summit.
Capability areas pop ups, visual displays and small areas for compaies to showcase their talents will be alongside the catering and networking area.
Meanwhile, given the continued positive feedback about the 4 x annual major events Digest, it has been decided to produce a Major Events handbook, a reference hard back copy book to be sent to every key stakeholder identified in the MEI extensive database.
Some 260 copies of the 500 printed will be sent to these individual stakeholders, all known to MEI, with the balance of copies available to delegates and to be distributed at MEI partner conference and expo events throughout the year. An e version will be sent to the entire database of 18,000.
