Major Events International have announced that the Major Events Summit for 2017 will return to the iconic Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London.
The event will take place in Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem, Plexal, in the home of the former Olympic Press & Broadcast Centre for the London 2012 Olympics on the 12th & 13th July 2017.
Commenting on the choice of venue, Dennis Mills CEO of Major Events International (MEI) said:
We are delighted to be using Plexal to host our next MEI Summit. Based on the edge of the Olympic Park it is a fitting backdrop to share experience, market insights, industry trends and to identify supply chain collaboration and innovative market solutions.
The Summit will uniquely bring together industry-leading major events suppliers and members, as well as organising committees, governing bodies and venue operators and will feature two days of workshops and panels.
For the first time the event will also include a Fan Zone/Stadium Networking Arena enabling companies to demonstrate their products and company capabilities.
To retain the event’s high quality of networking and relationship building approach, attendance is limited to 160 places for MEI Members, clients and VIP invitees.
Non-members of the MEI Network may request an invitation of attendance and will be granted attendance where space is available.
Plexal is Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem based at Here East on Queen Elizabeth Olympic park.
A state-of-the art environment designed as a mini-city for companies both big and small to accelerate innovation, complete with a town-hall, cafes, makers lab, events stage, high street, central park and library.
