The Melbourne Cricket Club (MCC) has appointed Playbill Pty Ltd as its Merchandise and Licensing supplier at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) following a competitive tender process.
The new partnership will see club members and sports fans enjoy an enhanced retail experience and access to a greater range of merchandise when they visit the MCG.
MCC General Manager – Commercial Operations, Gavin Corcoran, said Playbill Pty Ltd won the exclusive contract in recognition of its extensive experience with major sports and events and collaborative approach to stakeholder engagement.
We welcome the opportunity to work with a new merchandise partner, offering patrons new and exciting ways to capture and celebrate their sporting moments and memories at the ‘G’.
This partnership with Playbill Pty Ltd builds on our commitment to delivering an enhanced customer experience and increasing fan engagement at the MCG.
Corcoran also acknowledged the lengthy service provided by the incumbent, TPF, and thanked them for their valued contribution over the last 10 years.
The MCG is Australia’s largest and most iconic sporting stadium. Hosting 80-90 days of sporting events on the turf each year including Australian Rules Football (AFL), international and domestic cricket, rugby and soccer, it is visited by more than 3.5 million people annually.
