New screens for Illinois Memorial Stadium

University of Illinois’ Memorial Stadium will kick off next season with a brand new screen structure and display at the South end zone. The HD video display will be 36 feet tall by 96 feet wide with a 50-feet wide ribbon display beneath to showcase sponsors.

The new boards will bring HD quality video to our fans and will greatly enhance the game-day atmosphere

said UI Director of Athletics Mike Thomas.

The screen structure design will include Memorial Stadium lettering and columns framing the main video display. Custom-built football scoreboards will be installed to show the score, time outs left, down and distance, game time remaining, and quarter information in both south and north end zones. The screens and an integrated audio system are being supplied by Daktronics.
