Eden Park, New Zealand’s largest sporting venue, is celebrating its centenary throughout 2013. An Open Day on 10 February will offer the opportunity for fans and neighbours to access the pitch and changing rooms and to have photos taken with various trophies and superstar players.
Eden Park Trust Chief Executive, David Kennedy said:
“Eden Park has undergone numerous transformations in the last 100 years, but it was in 1913 when the first stand was built on the reclaimed swamp that it truly started life as a stadium.”
On 22 March there will be a cricket festival at the test against England and on 8 June there will a special centenary lunch.
