People: AEG Europe appoints Miserendino President and CEO

Thomas Miserendino is the new President and CEO of Sports and entertainment promoter AEG Europe. AEG reported that Miserendino transitions from his post as AEG Live executive Vice-president and Chief Operating Officer, a role he has had since 2002 when he joined AEG. Based in London, he assumes presidency from now AEG COO Jay Marciano.

Miserendino will oversee all activity and business units of AEG throughout nine European markets, including 20 music and entertainment venues as well as stand-alone divisions including AEG Europe Ticketing (AXS), AEG Global Partnerships-Europe, AEG Live Europe, AEG Europe Development and AEG Europe Facilities (such as under development Copenhagen Arena pictured). Marciano said:
