Jon Dorman has been appointed General Manager of Rabobank Arena, Theater & Convention Center, San Joaquin Community Hospital Ice Center of Bakersfield and Bright House Networks Amphitheatre. Dorman said:
I’m excited for the opportunity to work with the staff in Bakersfield and the AEG Facilities team. I look forward to contributing to the expansion of programming and other opportunities for both existing business and prospective venue projects we will bring to Bakersfield, as well as being part of this great community.
In Dorman’s new role, he will be responsible for the management of all of the venues’ business operations, the creation of new events and the development of new revenue opportunities for the venues in Bakersfield that fall under the management agreement that AEG Facilities has with the City of Bakersfield. Dorman will activate and oversee several initiatives AEG has created for the venue industry including AEG S.A.F.E., AEG 1Source, AEG 1EARTH, AEG 1Force, AEG Encore and AEG Energy Services, in addition to working closely with AEG Global Partnerships and other divisions of the company. Dorman is a current member of the International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) where he has served on the District V Scholarship Committee and the International Stadium Management Committee.
