Peterborough United stadium renamed

Peterborough United has confirmed that its stadium is now called the Weston Homes Stadium as part of a new sponsorship deal.

Weston Homes signed a £2 million, 10 year, sponsorship deal with the EFL League One side and acquired the name and promotion rights for Peterborough’s London Road Football Ground which is now known and branded as the Weston Homes Stadium.

The deal got underway on 1 June 2019 with new signage erected at the stadium in preparation for the concert with Craig David on Saturday 8 June.

The sponsorship deal, the largest in the club’s history, was signed between Peterborough United chief executive Bob Symns and Weston Homes chief executive Bob Weston, making the British volume housebuilder the club’s naming rights partner, with the multi-million deal being paid in instalments.
