Sport and entertainment expert, Populous, has agreed a merger with London-based architecture and interior design practice, Jump Studios.
The deal will see both firms continuing as separate practices, but joining together to collaborate on projects requiring a broader range of disciplines.
A joint statement said that the move will mean Jump Studios can extend both the geographical reach and scale of the projects it targets.
Simon Jordan, Director and co-founder of Jump Studios, commented:
There are clear synergies between Jump Studios and Populous with regard to how we see the role of architecture in framing and elevating experiences. There is increasing demand from clients to provide more user-centered, engaging and rewarding experiences, whether they be for places of leisure or work. We both have strong competencies in our respective fields and by joining forces these competencies can be leveraged to the greater benefit of our clients
Nick Reynolds, Senior Principal at Populous, added:
We have long admired Jump Studios’ work and believe this is a strategic opportunity for both companies, and more importantly, for our clients. Bringing people together in the 21st century requires greater imagination and innovation than ever before. It demands creative and exciting solutions that will enhance people’s lives. With a shared ethos and collaborative processes, together Populous and Jump Studios will create great places and experiences for a wide range of clients.
