Principal contractor sought for Glasgow 2018 European Championships

Glasgow City Council has invited tender bids for a Principal Contractor for the Glasgow 2018 European Championships.

The Glasgow 2018 European Championships are the next big thing on the events calendar following the Commonwealth Games and Ryder Cup in 2014.

In an exciting sporting partnership, Glasgow will work with Berlin to deliver the inaugural 2018 European Championships which will be broadcast to a potential audience of more than one billion people.

Glasgow and Scotland will host Aquatics, Cycling, Rowing, Triathlon, Gymnastics and Golf. Berlin will host the Athletics.

With some of the most prestigious sports in Europe coming together to bring their championships to Glasgow 2018, the event promises to be another must attend, must watch, summer of sport and culture with athletes.

This procurement will be conducted via the Public Contracts Scotland — Tender portal (PCS-T).

Bidders must self-certify their adherence to the conditions of participation via the ESPD (Scotland) in PSC-T, and may be required to submit Means of Proof before contract award.

The deadline date is March 5.
