The GAA is Ireland’s leading sporting and cultural organisation with membership approaching one million people and more than 500,000 playing participants at all levels. Inspired and supported by the voluntary efforts of its members, the GAA is focused on the development and promotion of Gaelic Games and culture nationally and in local communities. Croke Park has been at the heart of Irish sporting life for over one hundred years. Boasting a capacity for 82,300 people, the stadium is the home of Gaelic Games and the headquarters of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and covers 15 hectares. Croke Park is a multi-functional facility responsible for hosting GAA (Hurling & Gaelic Football) games and in previous year’s international rugby and soccer matches. In addition, the Stadium also hosts concerts throughout the year, as well as conferences, exhibitions and entertainment events. Last year the stadium saw over 2 million patrons entering through the turnstiles. 2014 will see 37 fixtures take place at the Stadium including GAA games, 8 concerts and 1 Collegiate American football game.
