SEDA Seating has installed revolutionary new curved telescopic seating units as part of Vivint Smart Home Arena’s major renovation project.
The arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, home of the NBA’s Utah Jazz, has now completed its $125 million renovation and SEDA Seating has made a leap in the seating industry with the project.
SEDA Seating has been able to design, manufacture and install curved telescopic units in all four corners of the arena to replace originally installed straight pie-shaped telescopic units.
This is the first-time ever a curved telescopic system has been installed in any sports facility around the world.
This development has decreased the amount of individual telescopic units from 20 to seven units in total.
Another renovation advancement includes SEDA’s “pop-up wheels system” under the telescopic system.
This is the second project that SEDA has installed with a revolutionary design that allows their telescopic units to smoothly work on two different floor levels.
Building a temporary floor to open telescopic units when the ice is not in place at an ice arena can be time consuming and costly and SEDA’s system can eliminate this issue.
With these improvements from SEDA, it is anticpated that Vivint Smart Home Arena will be able to reduce its conversion times by 35 – 40%.
