Sports architects promoted at Crawford

The international planning, architecture and interior design firm of Crawford Architects has promoted Joe Corvaia and James Pastine to associate principal.

Corvaia, who has been with the firm for 14 years, will be involved in all aspects of office operations and project management as well as building and managing client relationships for sports and entertainment projects.

He has already been associated with many award-winning projects, including the McLeod Center Arena and Human Performance Center for the University of Northern Iowa in Cedar Falls, Iowa and the Pegula Ice Arena for Pennsylvania State University in University Park, Pennsylvania.

He is currently assigned to the Minnesota Vikings’ Corporate Headquarters and Training Facility at Viking Lakes in Eagan, Minnesota and the Health and Human Performance Education Complex for McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Corvaia is a graduate of the University of Kansas.

Pastine, who joined the firm 13 years ago, will be involved in the management of the office and projects as well as building and managing client relationships for sports and entertainment projects.

Pastine has been involved in historic renovation and higher education projects, including the Weiss Pavilion at Franklin Field and Tse Ping and Cheung Chung Ling Sports Center at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a graduate of the University of Kansas.
