The English Football Association showcased a revolutionary new LED advertising system developed by StairMedia at last weekend’s Emirates FA Cup Semi-Finals 2020 at Wembley Stadium.
The new system will be on view again at the tournament’s Final on August 1.
The iconic steps in the seating bowl of the world-renowned stadium came to life through a new and patented high-resolution LED product that enables the creation of dynamic and animated visual content displayed for maximum media impact.
StairMedia™ first premiered at the indoor Final of the Spanish basketball Cup (Copa del Rey) in February 2020, and after at the Spanish basketball League (Liga Endesa) Play-offs in June.
The company then teamed up with specialised LED consultancy OMM Technology to help launch the product in the UK market.
StairMedia co-founder David Boja said:
We are incredibly proud and excited to have been given the chance to showcase our system at world famous The Emirates FA Cup.
The Emirates FA Cup Semi-Final on July 18 was the first live outdoor event shown globally that featured the revolutionary and worldwide patented system.
StairMedia CEO Francisco Ortiz added:
Static media on steps opposite the camera are growing means of communication. The introduction of a LED product directly opposite the main camera adds a significant value to any stadium rights.
StairMedia can be applied at a wide range of sports stadia for football, basketball, rugby, handball and other sporting events.
The StairMedia project started off in Barcelona’s technological district in 2016 and has since perfected and patented its technology. Co-founded by David Boja, Rafael Coto and Pepe Bastón, it has recently entered an agreement with a Mexican strategic group of investors providing capital for international expansion.
