André Rieu will play a third show in Wembley Arena on 6 December due to high demand for tickets. The extra concert is part of his December tour in the UK and Ireland, which will take in two new arenas, The Hydro in Glasgow and First Direct Arena in Leeds.
Rieu has made his second No. 1 appearance of the year on Billboard magazine’s weekly Hot Tours ranking with box office grosses reported from tour dates during March and April. Leaving behind artist like The Cure, Black Sabbath, Diana Krall and Prince. Rieu earned the No. 1 spot due to his tour through the United states and Canada, four concerts in Rio de Janeiro and a performance in the city of Belo Horizonte.
For the ceremonies surrounding the inauguration of the new King and Queen of the Netherlands, Rieu was invited to arrange a brand new waltz medley, The Coronation Waltz, which he performed live for over approximately 30.000 people during the King’s ball in Amsterdam.
