Mersin Governorship, Mersin Police Department and the Headquarters of the XVIIth Mediterranean Games are continuing security training as part of preparations to make sure that sports fans who come to the city will not experience any trouble.

The Security Training, which was organised by the XVIIth Mediterranean Games Security Department was a five-day course for about 1,000 private security officials. Diverse subjects, from the role of communication to security controls, were discussed.

Joining the lesson on the first day of the training course, Dr Samih Teymur, 2013 Mersin XVIIth Mediterranean Games Security Department Counsellor, said that communication is the most important factor.

General information about the venues was shared, including the points of entry and exit and the places where the security officials will deploy.

The private security officials who have taken part in this training course will be assigned to various points including hotels and other participating areas besides the total 54 venues which will be used during the Games.
