A safe standing terrace will be part of the new stadium being proposed for Torquay United, according to club chairman Clarke Osborne.
The website Devon Live reports that fans of the club want the 10,000-capacity stadium to include safe standing and Osborne has vowed to include a section in the new stadium.
Clark Osborne is quoted as saying:
“My view is that safe standing adds to the atmosphere and to the convenience of the supporters. That’s where they get their most enjoyment and, absolutely, I envisage it as part of the new stadium.”
Safe Standing allows spectators to stand at events in compliance with all safety laws and guidelines.
