Belkin connects fans at LAFC

Belkin is helping fans of Major League Soccer’s Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC) stay connected with mobile device chargers throughout Banc of California Stadium.

Belkin’s charging stations feature both wireless and wired options on both the main concourse and premium suites, and ensure that fans’ phones will stay charged so they can access stadium amenities throughout the game.

The charging stations are spread throughout the stadium, as follows: Three charging tables offering 12 different charging options are situated in the concourse to charge devices either wirelessly, through the Belkin BOOST UP™ Wireless Charging Spot, or wired with Belkin cables.

Another 34 wired charging stations are available in the stadium’s luxury suites.

Steve Malony, senior vice president, Belkin International, said:

Working in partnership with LAFC on bringing the latest Belkin technologies to their fans fits our mission of connecting people.

During the excitement of a game, fans can use their phones to film the action and share on social media. They can’t do this or maximize the capabilities of the LAFC mobile app if, in the excitement of the game, their phones’ batteries drain. We were thrilled when LAFC, another Southern California company, turned to us to ensure that their loyal fans can stay connected and enjoy an enhanced stadium experience.

Christian Lau, vice president, information technology, LAFC, added:

From the beginning, our goal has been to continually push the envelope by implementing technologies to enhance the overall customer experience at Banc of California Stadium.

Belkin’s top-of-the-line charging technologies was the clear fit for LAFC customers and Banc of California Stadium.

The 22,000 seat stadium, opened in 2018, offers high tech amenities, including high-speed Wi-Fi, CLEAR entrance technology, and paper-free ticketing and sales.

Everything from ticketing to ordering food to paying for souvenirs at the team store, is completed through the official LAFC mobile app.

Fans can also pay for food or items at the team store with their mobile devices with Apple Pay.
