
Detroit celebrated the ground-breaking for its new $450 million arena and accompanying $200 million entertainment district on Thursday.
Governor Rick Snyder and Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan joined developer Olympia Entertainment officials for the ceremony. Fans and locals are taking part in a block party into the weekend. Rodrick Miller, president and CEO of the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, said:
