Following a lengthy period of deliberation and after consultation with speakers, exhibitors and visitors, PanStadia & Arena Management’s owner, Hemming Group Ltd, has made the difficult decision to postpone the live Esports Venue Summit event at Twickenham Stadium until July 21-22, 2021.
The event was originally scheduled to run from October 21-22 this year. However, last week, faced with a rising number of Covid-19 cases, the UK Government announced that it was reviewing whether Conferences and Exhibitions could restart in the UK from October 1. No clear guidance was given on when a decision would be taken. On that basis and faced with continued uncertainty, Hemming Group felt that it had no option but to postpone the Twickenham event.
The Esports Venue Summit team has been working hard over the last three months to prepare for such an eventuality. They have already received tremendous feedback from the esports industry to the Esports Venue Summit Virtual Event Week, scheduled to run over four afternoons from October 26-29, 2020.
The team will now add even more live sessions to maximise the value and engagement for their online audience and will also bring on-board more speakers from Asia and North America, reflecting our commitment to establishing the event as a true global gathering for the industry.
