French Ligue 1 football club Olympique Lyonnais (OL) has struck a naming rights deal for its stadium with Groupama.
The Populous-designed Parc OL will be known as the Groupama Stadium for the next three years at least.
Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne has been a major partner of OL for several years, for the men’s, women’s and youth teams, as well as for the naming rights of the training centre.
The renewable three-year contract will give visibility to Groupama Stadium outside the stadium, in the arena, on the itinerary of VIP customers and the general public, as well as in the sports zones.
It will also allow Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne to use the image of the stadium to promote its offers and services.
The contract also foresees the development of important commercial synergies between OL and Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne, bringing high economic ambitions in the short and long term.
The 59,186-capacity venue also has a specially-designed and adaptable concert mode for up to 60,000 spectators and has hosted a range of sports events, including the European Rugby Champions Cup Final.
At 53,700m², the Grand Stade de Lyon has one of the largest stadium roofs in the world, a feature which will allow the venue to become a focal point within the local community throughout the year.
