Minor League baseball team, the Beloit Snappers, are planning to build a new 2,500 seater ballpark in downtown Beloit, Wisconsin.
The stadium, designed by Jones Petrie Rafinski, will comprise a grandstand with administrative offices, player facilities and concessions.
The venue will include facilities and an artificial turf field that allow flexibility to host other non-baseball events in the community.
There will also be a 300 capacity ‘stadium club’ that can be used year-round.
The main concourse will wrap 360 degrees around the field and features a main entry gate at centre field.
The stadium will also serve as a facility for youth sports, education and cultural events.
Quint Studer, who plans to buy the Beloit Snappers, said:
With the leadership of Diane Hendricks and others who are stepping up to build a fabulous stadium in Beloit, this revitalisation project brings the city one step closer to becoming America’s renaissance city.
Beloit expects groundbreaking in the spring of this year.
