The International Association of Venue Managers (IAVM) has named Jeffrey Mann, CFE, as the organisation’s new Chief Operations Officer. Mann will be joining the staff in April, and will oversee all operational areas of the organisation with significant focus on sales, marketing, and membership, and will assist the President and CEO in overall management for the association. Vicki Hawarden, IAVM President and CEO, said:

His background in venue management, as well as his operational expertise, will help ensure our success as we move into what we believe will be a significant growth phase for our association. I personally look forward to being able to collaborate with Jeff as we look for new ways to bring more value to our members.
Mann brings over 14 years of experience in the field of venue management, most recently as Assistant General Manager of the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina. A graduate of Springfield College in Springfield, Massachusetts, Mann also earned his Masters’ Degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts. His career includes positions with the FleetCenter/TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts and the Jobing.com Arena in Glendale Arizona, home of the Phoenix Coyotes.
Mann also takes an active role in his community, serving as board chair for the Charlotte Chamber and board member for the Carolina International Charter School. Leading up to the 2012 election, Mann traveled as part of the Presidential Advance Team for several campaign stops.
Mann has worked in all facets of venue management. He has worked in event operations, created guest experience programs, and overseen facility operations/engineering and security. He has extensive experience in capital planning and facility renovations.
