SIS Pitches technology continues to impress

It has been an excellent start to the month for SIS Pitches, with two notable successes.

A great number of people went to the SIS Pitches stand at the SALTEX exhibition to learn about the company’s products, renew old acquaintances and mostly, to see the revolutionary machine – SISGrass Universal.

The machine is able to change hybrid sports surface provision and represents the perfect solution for clubs facing challenges in maintaining uniform grass quality in high-wear areas.

The machine is 100% electric and mobile to provide fast, accurate stitching for a wide range of applications. Watch a video of the machine in action here.

SALTEX also saw the launch of SISGrass Lite-a product designed to open up the market to lower league clubs and associations that haven’t previously had the opportunity to experience hybrid pitch surfaces.

World Cup Fever

Meanwhile, last weekend saw a significant step on the road to Russia 2018, with the first game being played at the revamped Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The venue, which will host the opening and final matches of the tournament, is one of the six World Cup stadiums to use SISGrass hybrid reinforced turf system.

There would be no victory for the hosts however as a late Sergio Aguero goal sealed a 1-0 win for Argentina. That said, the occasion was a huge success!

Illyas Kobal, Director at SIS EE and SIS Russia, commented:

The first match at the new Luzhniki stadium was a fantastic event and one that we have been looking forwards to for a long time.

Despite the stadium hosting Unity Day celebrations just one week previously, our SISGrass reinforced natural turf system, with SISAir, enabled the pitch to be in perfect condition. It was only a shame that Russia didn’t mark the occasion with a victory!

Roll on the World Cup-only 6 months to go!
