The Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth is the latest stadium to adopt the fully integrated Computicket/TALENT solution. Computicket, the largest ticketing agency in South Africa, has joined in a strategic partnership with IRIS Ticketing to promote TALENT. The two companies have also worked together with the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban which, along with Nelson Mandela Bay, hosted both the soccer World Cup in 2010 and the Africa Cup of Nations 2013. Alongside Moses Mabhida is Kings Park stadium, home to another shared customer, the Natal Sharks rugby team. In Cape Town, the solution is used at the Cool Runnings Toboggan Track, which is the first downhill toboggan run ride in Africa.
The Nelson Mandela Bay (NMB) stadium was built for the World Cup 2010 in South Africa and is a 48,500 seat venue. The NMB stadium was also host to the newcomers to the Super 15 Rugby tournament this year, the Southern Kings, for which over tens of thousands of tickets have been printed successfully using the new solution.
IRIS Ticketing’s TALENT solution introduces innovative ticketing for supporters to ensure they have the best supporter experience when purchasing stadium tickets. It offers a proven and flexible solution that allows stadia to manage membership and corporate ticketing options as well as integrate CRM capabilities to incentivise and reward loyalty, complementing Computicket’s current ticketing solution. The NMB stadium will also be using Computicket to print tickets via Shoprite superstores in South Africa and online through its integration with TALENT.
