Sports architect Greg Sherlock joins Gensler

Gensler, the leading global design firm, has appointed Greg Sherlock, AIA, NCARB, to its Los Angeles office as a Director in its sports practice area, Gensler Sports.

An industry expert in the evolution of sports design, Sherlock has led large-scale sports and hospitality projects at the professional and collegiate level

Sherlock, previously with Populous, is a specialist in large-scale sports and hospitality design.

He has led a wide range of projects, including urban design, facility master planning, sports, hotel, entertainment and brand activation over his 25+ year career.

As both a Director and Global Design Strategist, he thrives on pushing the envelope early in the design process.

His strengths include visual storytelling and innovative problem-solving, and he strives to facilitate the collaborative process. He often speaks and writes on the evolution of the sports industry and enhancing the user experience.

He is also a baseball specialist and has directed the design of three MLB ballparks for the Miami Marlins, Cincinnati Reds and Kansas City Royals and numerous ballpark enhancements for various MLB franchises.
