FIFA and the Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the 2014 FIFA World Cup have appointed ARAMARK and Convivas Brasil as the Food and Beverage Concessionaire for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2013 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil. The agreement follows a public tender process which involved a total of 17 food service providers. FIFA’s Marketing Director Thierry Weil said:

The matchday experience of fans at the FIFA Confederations Cup and FIFA World Cup is of utmost importance to FIFA and the LOC. Having such experienced partners working with us will ensure that fans attending the stadia have a high quality choice of food and drink.

ARAMARK and Convivas Brasil will manage concessions and workforce catering at the six Confederations Cup stadiums and the 12 2014 FIFA World Cup stadiums, creating a total of approximately 6,000 jobs for the Confederations Cup and over 10,000 in 2014.

Marc Bruno, President of ARAMARK Sports and Entertainment said:

We look forward to utilising our global culinary insights and expertise and working with FIFA and our partner, Convivas, to develop a world-class menu that enhances the experience for football fans attending the matches.

The menu will showcase a variety of international options and distinctive Brazilian tastes and flavours, giving visitors the opportunity to experience local and regional cuisine, such as Acarajé in Salvador, Feijão Tropeiro in Belo Horizonte and Bolo de Rolo in Recife.

Delaware North Companies has joined forces with Singapore Airport Terminal Services (Sats) to provide catering and food-and-beverage services for the Singapore Sports Hub. The 21-year contract includes providing hospitality services for the hub’s retail concessions, corporate suites, members’ dining areas and special events.

Sats, through its in-flight catering joint venture in India, first collaborated with Delaware North in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi, providing food at the Athletes’ Village. While Delaware North will be in charge of day-to-day operations, Sats will oversee areas such as product development, quality assurance, culinary expertise and logistics.
