Signature facilitates stadium-venue concerts in UK & Europe

Signature Systems Group’s Europe division has successfully completed the facilitation of ten stadium-venue concerts in June 2014.

The concerts, performed by world renowned artists such as Elton John, Indochine, Kings of Leon, One Direction, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones and performers at the North East Live Festival, were presented at various stadia across the UK and at the Stade de France in Paris (pictured above).

Tony Booth of Signature Europe said:

Stadia personnel recognise that concerts are one possibility for filling 35,000 to 60,000-seat venues in between football and rugby matches. Yet, stadia were not designed to facilitate these events. Imagine taking a stadium built for athletics and turning it into a place where people and vehicles can travel safely over the expensive turf without injuring a blade of grass.

The public never sees the monumental effort it takes to ready a venue for a performance. The timelines for assembly and break down are always tight, challenging and often depends on the other commodity suppliers’ on-site schedules. On average, it takes between eight and twelve hours to set up the temporary flooring and after the event, it must be disassembled and packed away, thus precise attention to detail and painstaking coordination is key.

Signature Europe is also in the fourth year of supplying modular flooring systems for organisations such as The All England Lawn Tennis Club and The Royal Horticultural Society.

Booth added:

We provided over two million square feet of modular roadways and turf protection at over 25 venues for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympics in London. These flooring products protected the expensive turf, the natural beauty of each venue, and most importantly, the spectators and athletes.

Signature Systems Group LLC has announced that Cleveland-based private equity firm Linsalata Capital Partners has acquired a majority interest in Signature, previously owned by Dubin Clark & Co. of Greenwich, Connecticut. Signature designs, manufactures, and sells a broad range of specialty flooring and fencing products, including for the special event, sports and trade show industries.

Growth is our mission and what attracted us (Linsalata Capital and Signature) to each other,

explained Arnon Rosan, founder and CEO of Signature Systems.

When we found ourselves at the centre of a seven-way bidding war, we knew that we wanted to go with Linsalata because they truly understand and embrace the entrepreneurial spirit that drives our company and each of our employees.

Headquartered in New York City, Signature has sales, manufacturing and distribution cents in Los Angeles, Orlando, Baltimore, and the UK, and ships more than 10,000 orders a year to clients across the globe.

After supplying more than 2,000,000ft² of temporary roadways and outdoor flooring for the 2012 London Olympics, Signature said it is hard at work designing new products to propel the company even further on its upward trajectory.

Signature is a great opportunity for LinCap,

said Daniel L. DeSantis, Managing Director at Linsalata Capital Partners,

Arnon and his team have done a wonderful job building a platform that leverages strong product development, a unique sales and marketing driven culture and exceptional service capabilities. We believe the growth prospects for Signature are very strong.
