The Arena Group has confirmed a strategic partnership with FAST Engineering and ROHR construction in Brazil to provide temporary infrastructure services to venues.

Joe O’Neill, Arena Group’s director of global business development, said:

FAST and ROHR both have a very similar ethos to us; aiming to deliver the highest quality sustainable, flexible temporary infrastructure to events across the country. I am confident that the combination of Arena Group’s patented, proven equipment, FAST’s project management and ROHR’s construction skills will prove a successful combination for us all, and hugely benefit the organising committees of Brazil’s major events and stadiums.

Meanwhile, Marcela Caballero (pictured) has joined Arena Group as its Brazilian business development manager. She is based in the Arena Group’s strategic partners’ FAST offices in Sao Paulo. She said:

I am very excited to be working for Arena Group in Brazil. It is a flexible and open company, which I respect greatly. We have many exciting overlay projects ahead of us, and I’m confident that we will provide a lasting legacy for current and future sporting events in Brazil.

The Arena Group has acquired Malaysia-based Asia Tent International, which substantially enhances the company’s logistical capabilities, storage facilities, personnel and stock quota for the delivery of temporary event structures throughout Asia. Arena Group CEO Greg Lawless (pictured left) said:

This is a strategic first step into growing the Arena Group’s client base throughout Asia. We now have the capacity to offer event organisers across all areas of the Middle and Far East easier access to independent specialist knowledge, and greatly improved logistics. This is a vital part of our vision to be a truly global event services supplier.

Arena Group’s current clients in Asia include the CIMB Classic and Sime Darby LPGA in Malaysia, the Formula 1 and HSBC LPGA in Singapore, and Ballantine’s Golf Championships in South Korea. Asia Tent International had provided event structures for the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur, Athens Olympics and Doha Asian Games.

Arena Group’s Malaysian operations will be carried out by the newly created Asia Tents Arena Sdn. Bhd. and headed by Arena Group Middle East and Asia CEO Paul Berger (pictured right), who said:

Malaysia will serve as a springboard for the Arena Group to deliver new capabilities and more comprehensive event infrastructure services across Asia. We look forward to enhancing our relationships with existing clients and expanding our services into new markets.
