Times Square effect in downtown Charlotte

The Charlotte Knights have hired TSE Services to consult new technologies being incorporated into BB&T Ballpark, scheduled to open Spring 2014 in uptown Charlotte, NC. TSE will be responsible for the oversight and purchasing of nine state-of-the-art LED displays, along with three scoreboards.

Scott Brown, General Manager of Baseball Operations for the Knights, said:

From my experiences working with consultants in the past, TSE clearly stood out as the firm to take BB&T Ballpark to the next level. We are confident that we will get the best product within our budget.

The new stadium will house multiple video board displays throughout the facility including a giant state-of-the-art LED board projected to be 33 ft by 80.4 ft. The Knights say that, along with the signature video board, a total of eight LED displays and three scoreboards will create a new-age feel. Five of the screens will create an entry LED display that will rival those featured in Time Square, NY.

The $54 million multi-purpose facility will seat 10,000 fans and is expected to draw at least 600,000 fans just for baseball the first year.
