Top speakers announced for Stadia & Arena Japan 2019

A host of top-level speakers have been lined up for the Sports Business Japan/Stadia & Arena Japan 2019 conference and exhibition.

The next edition of the hugely successful Sports Business Japan/Stadia & Arenaconference and exhibition will take place at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan in November.

The event will run from 19-20 November 2019, with a site tour on Monday, November 18.

High-level keynote speakers have signed up to take part in the event. These include Mr. Saburo Kawabuchi, chairman of Japan Top League Alliance (Founder of J-League); Mr. Daichi Suzuki, president of Sports Agency Japan (a part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology); Mr. Motoi Oyama, chairman of Japan Society of Sports Industry.

Conference sessions at the event will cover topics including: Stadia and Arena Innovation; Strengthening the Management Capabilities of Content Holders; Strengthening the competitiveness of the Sports Industry. Around 60 exhibitors are expected to host stands at the show.

The venue for the 2019 event – Saitama Super Arena – is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama City, Saitama, Japan.

The arena features a gigantic moveable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting.

Its spectator capacity is 37,000 at maximum settings, making it the third largest indoor arena in the world.

The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500 when events such as basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, gymnastics, boxing, mixed martial arts, and professional wrestling take place there.
